Culex annulirostrus - feeding patterns at Charleville. see Kay,Boreham and Fanning. 1985. J.Med.Ent. 22: 529-539. It is the major vector of Murray Valley Enchephalitis in Australia. Feeding habits varied between town and sylvan sites depending on the variety of hosts available but this mosquito prefers mammalian hosts when available. PFL Boreham did a significant amount of research on blood meals of mosquitos and other arthropods to answer epidemiological questions. see Boreham. PFL. 1988. DSc.
